Job Description

Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home

Location: Sunderland
Provision: Childrens Residential Home (Ages 717 EBD & Mild Learning Difficulties) Brand-New Home for an Established Provider
Hours: 48 hours per week days only rolling rota (youll oversee the rota including your own shifts) sleeps required
Salary: 38600 per annum

About the Role

Are you a Senior Residential Support Worker looking to step up or an experienced Deputy Manager searching for a new challenge

This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-driven organisation that combines care education and therapy to support children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Working alongside a highly experienced Registered Manager youll play a pivotal role in leading a strong motivated team creating a safe and nurturing environment and ensuring the very best outcomes for young people.

What Were Looking For

Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce (or equivalent)
Experience as a Deputy Assistant Manager or Senior RSW in an Ofsted-regulated childrens home
Strong knowledge of safeguarding childcare legislation and leadership responsibilities
Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential)
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and confident IT skills

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the staff team
Oversee rota management supervisions audits and contribute to recruitment
Work in partnership with education and therapeutic professionals to deliver holistic support
Build and maintain positive relationships with children families external agencies and Ofsted
Embed a culture of high expectations reflective practice and continuous improvement
