Job Summary
OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Senior Analyst Programmer (Special Project) ()
Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager the appointee will be assisting in the implementation and integration of higher education. The appointee should have a strong knowledge of system design development testing as well as first-line user support experience.
Responsibilities:
- Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems ensuring seamless integration and efficient data transfer;
- Perform various software development lifecycle tasks including requirements gathering design development testing implementation and maintenance;
- Develop innovative solutions and undertake product development;
- Create and maintain comprehensive testing documentation for complete systems ensuring rigorous quality control and adherence to project timelines;
- Produce user manuals for users of new systems facilitating smooth adoption and maximising system utilisation; and
- Perform other IT projects and assignments as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field;
- At least 2-3 years of work experience with a focus on software development and system integration;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex system issues;
- Strong hands-on solid proven experience in the following development languages/tools: PHP Java PowerBuilder SQL MS Power Platform and ETL tool. Knowledge in ServiceNow Salesforce is a plus; and
- Possess solid written and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences and strong commitment-to-task.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
