Job Summary
The Clinical Practice Optimization & Training Manager is a clinical leader responsible for thestrategic implementation of training programs standardized workflows and performanceoptimization across DAP Healths frontline clinical teams. Reporting to the Director of Nursingthis role plays a central role in ensuring staff deliver care at the top of their licensure with theskills tools and support required for high-quality efficient and patient-centered practice.
This RN-driven position collaborates cross-functionally with Clinical Operations QualityCompliance and OCHIN Epic teams to support standardized clinical workflows pre-visitplanning and care gap closure. The Manager builds and maintains a robust traininginfrastructure monitors department KPIs and provides real-time insights to supervisors andoperational leaders ensuring transparency accountability and continuous workforcedevelopment.
Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Review weekly timesheets for accuracy review employee submissions and updates asneeded; approve timesheets by required timeline
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings (monthly at a minimum frequency preferably bi-weekly)scheduled conversations and annual performance reviews with direct reports byrequired timeline
  • Attend mandatory Managers Learning Collaborative trainings
  • Partner with People Operations to:
    • Develop a learning plan for employee development goals to provide tools neededto excel in their position
    • Implement and follow a process to address performance issues as they arise
    • Prepare a comprehensive onboarding process for each specific position for allnew hires
    • Address serious issues that may require interventions or investigations
  • Develop and monitor departmental and program/project operating budgets costs andschedules
  • Supervise lead coach and use best management practices to improve staffperformance
  • Support and model the identified vision values and behaviors of the organization

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Clinical Team Optimization & Training Leadership

  • Lead mentor and manage the MA Trainer/Float team across multiple clinical sites
  • Ensure all trainers are equipped with Train-the-Trainer certification and deliverconsistent high-quality education that aligns with DAP Healths clinical standards andworkflows
  • Identify team members who require re-training or performance improvement and deploytrainers or direct support accordingly

Workflow Standardization & Implementation

  • Act as a key stakeholder in the development and rollout of standardized workflows incollaboration with Quality Compliance and the OCHIN Epic (EHR) teams
  • Ensure frontline teams are operating at the top of their licensure with clearly definedprocesses that support efficiency documentation accuracy and high-quality care
  • Promote core operational standards such as pre-visit planning care gap closure inbasket management and effective test tracking

Training Program Design & Curriculum Oversight

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive training curriculum for MA roles and other clinicalsupport staff including onboarding core competencies workflow education andrefreshers
  • Develop tools such as checklists skills validations SOPs and quick-reference guides tosupport consistency in training across all locations
  • Regularly update training materials to reflect changes in systems clinical standards orregulatory expectations

Performance Reporting & Feedback Mechanisms

  • Develop track and report department-level KPIs including:
    • Number of trainings provided (by trainer title band and location)
    • Effectiveness of training (post-training assessments field observation outcomes)
    • Trainer performance metrics
  • Consistently report to Clinical Operations leadership on areas of focus progress towardstandardization and site- or team-specific performance trends
  • Maintain visibility into each staff members training status and ensure that feedbackloops are in place between trainers site supervisors and hiring managers
  • Provide actionable feedback to hiring managers to support effective onboarding andretention of high-performing clinical staff

Continuous Improvement & Team Support

  • Conduct onsite assessments and observation rounds to identify staff who may requireadditional coaching or workflow support
  • Partner with site leaders to adapt training to team-specific needs while reinforcing DAPHealths standardized expectations
  • Contribute to clinical operations optimization by translating training outcomes intoworkflow improvements and process redesign when appropriate

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated understanding of standardized workflows clinical documentation and staff development strategies
  • Familiarity with UDS HEDIS care gap closure and performance-based care delivery preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Active unrestricted RN license in the State of California
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in ambulatory community health orprimary care settings
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical education training or implementationleadership role
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR); OCHIN Epic preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing Healthcare Education Health Administration or a relatedfield preferred
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or managed care preferredenvironment
  • Certification in adult learning clinical education or quality improvement (e.g. CPHQNE-BC) preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • This position is on-site at a DAP Health clinic
  • This job operates in an office setting and requires frequent times of sitting standingrepetitive motion and talking
  • Ability to lift up to 24 pounds
  • Requires current and valid drivers license and current personal auto insurance
  • Frequent travel to clinical sites across the service region required.
  • Occasional early mornings evenings or weekends may be required to support go-livessystem updates or urgent training need
