Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.
TheTech Refresh Equipment Specialistis responsible for assessing and evaluating facility infrastructure and mission systems to ensure operational readiness and efficiency. This role involves conducting technical inspections of systems such as AIS COP and camera networks identifying maintenance needs and recommending necessary upgrades replacements or training. The specialist supports design reviews sustainment planning and contributes to the preparation of Facility Survey Reports (CDRL A015) ensuring all recommendations align with operational requirements and mission objectives.
This is a nationwide project and we need someone who is willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth technical assessments of facility infrastructure and mission systems to determine performance reliability and compliance with operational standards.
- Evaluate the condition and functionality of equipment including AIS COP and camera systems identifying any deficiencies or potential risks.
- Assess facility readiness and identify short-term and long-term maintenance needs to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades replacements and operator training to enhance mission effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support design reviews by providing technical input and ensuring proposed changes meet both current and future operational requirements.
- Participate in sustainment planning ensuring systems remain operational and cost-effective over their lifecycle.
- Contribute to the preparation of Facility Survey Reports (CDRL A015) ensuring accurate documentation of findings recommendations and compliance with reporting standards.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Facilities Management or a related technical field; advanced certifications or training in systems engineering electronics or maritime surveillance systems are an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years in facility operations maintenance or conducting technical assessments within the relevant subject matter expertise (SME) discipline.
- Deep knowledge of maritime surveillance infrastructure including radar radio AIS COP and EO/IR camera systems.
- Strong capability to interpret technical data identify system deficiencies and develop actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for preparing detailed technical reports and engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience contributing to design reviews sustainment planning and technical documentation (e.g. Facility Survey Reports CDRL A015).
