Job Description

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Were looking for a driven and capable Assistant Manager - Cleaning to support the day-to-day operation of one of our remote contracts.

As a Assistant Manager - Cleaning youll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure seamless service delivery strong client relationships and a high-performing team. You will be a champion of safety team development and operational excellence.

This a 7 day on 7 day off role working 11 hour shifts and is fully relieved. The candidate will reside locally or be prepared to drive-in drive-out. Accommodation and meals are all supplied.

The Position

  • Assist with the management of daily operations
  • Build strong client relationships and respond to requests for additional services
  • Support develop and train team members fostering a positive and respectful work culture
  • Approve timesheets manage leave and ensure accurate payroll inputs
  • Ensure full compliance with site readiness requirements including inductions WAFs and SOPs
  • Maintain system access and Learning Management System compliance
  • Promote and uphold Compass Groups strong safety culture
  • Proactively manage employee absences performance and grievances

The Person

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a remote hospitality facilities or similar operational environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams
  • A passion for safety training and operational excellence
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic fast-paced environments
  • Confidence using workforce systems and managing compliance
