JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sodexo is seeking a Director of Facilities Operations to lead and oversee the facilities management operations at Melrose Wakefield Hospital a 174-bed hospital campus that functions jointly with Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford. As part of this two-campus healthcare system Melrose Wakefield Hospital provides a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services including general surgery emergency care interventional cardiovascular services maternity orthopedics and more. It also serves as the regions Level III Trauma Center.
UNIT DESCRIPTION:
Melrose Wakefield Hospital is a 174-bed hospital located in Melrose Massachusetts. Melrose Wakefield Hospital and Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford function as one hospital entity with two campus locations. The Melrose Wakefield Hospital campus provides many different areas of inpatient patient care including general surgery interventional cardiovascular services gynecology maternity special care nursery orthopedics and urology. It also offers outpatient care such as same day surgery endoscopy imaging and emergency services as well as serving as the regions Level III Trauma Center.

Position Summary:
The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades e.g. HVAC plumbing electrical utilities; and manages the hiring training and supervision of staff professionals and management. The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment essential to the performance of the business. The Director may oversee construction work and often manages other core Sodexo services and/or logistics of business/operations services e.g. grounds keeping laundry food security inventory mail concierge services.
