Job Description

Salary:NJC Grade C: 25583 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern:This is a permanentpart-time positionworking 26.85hours per week 39weeks per year (9.00- 15.00Monday to Friday)

We are looking for a caring organised and enthusiastic SEND Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team at Newport Community School Primary Academy .

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children families and staff by helping us deliver the very best SEND and Early Help provision.

About the Role

  • Every day will be different in this varied and rewarding role! Youll be working closely with our SENDCO and Early Help Leads supporting with:
  • Organising and preparing meetings and taking notes so that actions are clear and followed up.
  • Communicating with parents professionals and agencies in a professional and supportive way.
  • Keeping our SEND and safeguarding records accurate up to date and GDPR compliant.
  • Helping us to manage diaries prepare reports and keep important information accessible for staff. Supporting pupil health needs including managing Health Care Plans and sharing information with staff when needed.
  • Providing first aid to staff and pupils (training provided if you dont already have the qualification).
  • Pitching in with general school office tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

About You

  • Someone who enjoys working with people and building positive relationships.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information with care and confidentiality.
  • Confident using a range of IT systems and software with strong digital skills to support efficient administration and record-keeping.
  • Keen to learn and happy to use (or be trained on) systems such as CPOMS and our school MIS.
