Description and Duties

Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading our Snowsports School. Youll champion a safe engaging and fun learning environment managing supervisors coordinators and instructors aligning with other resort teams and ensuring every guest leaves with unforgettable memories. Youre the heart and calm in the storm part motivator part overseer and full-time ambassador for Homewoods guest-first ethos.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit train mentor and coach instructors and supervisors.

  • Lead daily scheduling staffing and private lesson assignments to meet guest demand and revenue goals.

  • Maintain quality control for lesson programming.

  • Foster a positive team morale and a culture centered on safety professionalism and guest-centric service.

  • Act as the liaison among the whole school supervisors and sales staff to align operations and guest needs.

  • Oversee administrative tasks including payroll tracking reporting and adherence to departmental SOPs.

  • Handle guest service issues and recovery efforts with responsiveness and hospitality.

  • Execute safety protocols and contribute to program-driven strategic initiatives.

  • Embody and promote Homewoods culture of exceptional guest service teamwork innovation sustainability and fun.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required

  • PSIA/AASI Level 2 Certification (or equivalent)

  • Exceptional leadership organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and courtesy.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with RTP (or equivalent resort scheduling systems) preferred.

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English with strong guest service orientation.

  • Comfortable working in varied mountain conditions including high-altitude and inclement weather environments.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred

  • PSIA/AASI Level 3 Certification (or equivalent)

  • Prior management experience in a snowsports school

  • Familiarity with childrens group lesson products.

  • Conflict resolution and guest recovery expertise.

Education and Experience

  • Required: High school diploma or GED.

  • Preferred: College degree in Recreation Education or Hospitality.

  • Required: Minimum 3 years of full-time instruction in a snowsports school.

  • Preferred: 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a snowsports school school.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in high-altitude cold snowy and rapidly changing weather environments.

  • Capacity to supervise and deploy instructors across varied terrain and weather conditions.

  • Frequent standing walking and movement throughout indoor and outdoor operations.

  • Comfortable in small work area environment.

Equipment Used

  • Standard snowsports gear (skis snowboards boots helmets) as needed for supervision and occasional.

  • Office tools: computer phone and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Resort-specific systems: RTP and payroll/reporting platforms such as Paycom.
