Job Description

The Assistant Manager Privacy supports the Global Segment Compliance team by overseeing the Privacy Risk Management Program across various Global markets. This role involves managing privacy incidents tracking legislative updates and preparing reports for stakeholders all while ensuring alignment with regional standards and guidelines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate annual privacy training plans and awareness campaigns globally. aligning with regional objectives.
  • Lead and conduct training sessions for Privacy Officers and stakeholders track attendance and maintain updated privacy materials.
  • Participate in Information Protection Education Team (IPET) meetings to provide privacy insights and feedback on training and awareness materials from an Global perspective.
  • Oversee privacy incident management for moderate or higher-rated incidents collaborate with Privacy & Cybersecurity Legal Counsel on legislative updates and perform Quality Assurance (QA) on privacy controls.
  • Create and maintain a privacy dashboard for monitoring and reporting incidents and support the privacy risk management program focusing on process streamlining and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy compliance or a related field preferably within a multinational organization or across multiple Asian markets. Experience in developing and implementing privacy training and awareness programs.
  • Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations across Asia such as the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles.
  • Bachelors degree in Law Business Administration Information Technology or a related field. A Masters degree or additional certifications in Privacy or Compliance (such as CIPP/Asia) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and Quality Assurance (QA) on privacy controls and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen ability to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop dashboards for monitoring privacy incidents and compliance metrics.
  • Amenable to work on a night shift schedule
