Solution IT Inc. is looking for SAP Technical Writer for one of its clients in Sacramento CA/ Hybrid
Job Title: SAP Technical Writer
Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Writer with a minimum of 2 years in technical writing ideally within IT or business environments. The role requires strong skills in creating clear concise and accurate documentation such as business process manuals user guides training materials and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand current business processes.
- Develop detailed business process documentation and process flow mappings to support the S/4HANA system design and configuration.
- Utilize mapping software (e.g. Visio) to create visual representations of each process.
- Ensure that each process map includes key steps decision points roles and inputs/outputs.
- Document and route for review and approval all processes named in process inventory documents.
- The resource will be embedded within project team receiving directions and assignments from Project team.
- Work hours and tasks will be tracked on a time and materials basis offering flexibility to meet project demands.
- The individual will comply with companys policies and procedures maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct consistent with companys workforce standards.
- This approach ensures tighter integration with clients project team enabling greater control over deliverables and alignment with project objectives compared to traditional professional services contractor engagement.
Required Skills
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer.
- At least 1 SAP project experience in documenting business processes.
- Knowledge of SAP modules and business workflows (utilities or similar industries preferred).
- Excellent writing editing and organizational skills.
- Contractors must be available for any meetings generally scheduled between the hours 7:30 am and 5 pm Pacific Time (Flexible as needed).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Background in SAP environments (ECC or S/4HANA).
- SAP certifications in relevant modules (Finance Supply Chain or Business Process Integration) are an advantage.
Work Site: Sacramento CA/ Hybrid Tues/ Wed/ Thurs Onsite and Monday/ Friday Remote
Duration: 6 Months
Expected Start Date: Immediate
