At SPL precision purpose and progress guide our work across environmental science. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented proactive Chromatography Analyst to join our team in Kilgore TX. What Youll Do

  • Perform the full analytical process from sample preparation through data analysis using IC GC and GC-MS instrumentation;
  • Document activities and report results clearly concisely and in accordance with quality standards;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve analytical issues as needed;
  • Interpret samples and analytical data to support client and regulatory requirements;
  • Operate and gain proficiency with chromatography equipment and software including ChemStation Target LIMS and other industry-standard systems;
  • Participate in the development revision and implementation of SOPs;
  • Maintain calibrate troubleshoot and repair laboratory instrumentation as necessary;
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of calibrations inspections and equipment repairs;
  • Actively participate in the laboratorys Quality System and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field preferred;
  • Experience with commercially available instrumentation and EPA methods (IC GC and GC-MS) including routine through complex analytical techniques;
  • Demonstrated diligence strong work ethic and ability to work independently;
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and details;
  • High energy level confidence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;

Your Schedule and The Fine Print

  • Full-time position following a standard Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts;
  • Flexibility to participate in the on-call rotation schedule as well as work outside of normal hours to support business needs and deadlines.
