Development & Donor Relations

Development and Donor Relations (DDR) is a unit within the Universitys Advancement portfolio responsible for the cultivation solicitation and stewardship of private donations made to UNB.

WHAT WE OFFER

Full-time 3-year Term Fredericton Campus On-Campus

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri 8:15 am - 4:30 pm 36.25 hours per week (Winter Hours)

Salary Range: $59696 - $81360 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Executive Director Development & Donor Relations the Portfolio Manager will support 2-3 front-line fundraising staff in the planning and implementation of fundraising schedules including but not limited to: coordinating appointments and travel finding efficiencies in scheduling and costs and maintaining donor correspondence.

Position Summary:

  • Track meeting outcomes and ensure appropriate follow-up is taken.
  • Support fundraising and stewardship staff to develop and implement customized stewardship plans for key prospects on an annual basis.
  • Solicit low and mid-level leadership gift prospects.
  • Follow-up on outstanding commitments and renewing donor commitments.
  • Monitor progress within fundraisers portfolios.
  • As appropriate help draft Gift Agreements using established processes and help facilitate the creation of new accounts.
  • Support fundraising staff with the administrative work involved with planned giving and bequests.
  • Collaborate closely with research staff and project management staff to onboard new projects into the portfolio and remain current on institutional priorities.
  • Coordinate the preparation of all meeting documents.
  • Help front-line fundraisers satisfy back-office demands while they are travelling.
  • Conduct basic research in the Ellucian Advance CRM database.
  • Assist front-line fundraisers to enter contact reports into the CRM or other software as required and with daily writing tasks.
  • Host donors and alumni on campus as appropriate.
  • Support and attend special events attend staff meetings and other internal meetings as required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Two-year business administration or office management diploma or equivalent combination of related training and experience.
  • Three to five years experience in a senior administrative role preferably in a post-secondary or fundraising environment.

  • Must have a strong administrative background and ability to deal professionally with the public.
  • Superior communication skills. The ability to exercise tact diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
