Job Description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor WA 98278
Work Schedule: Monday FridayHrs Shift

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from a Medical Assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or a formal U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Certification:
      • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
      • Current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or other formal program.
  • Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms prior to patient arrival.
  • Assist with patient check-ins admissions discharges and transfers.
  • Record patients vital signs (temperature respiration pulse blood pressure weight pulse oximetry).
  • Obtain and document medical history drug history allergies and chief complaints.
  • Support physicians with patient examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  • Complete lab and x-ray requisitions per clinic policies.
  • Maintain examination room supplies and perform routine upkeep.
  • Enter patient demographic and visit data into the medical system at check-in and discharge.
  • Provide care in Audiology Deployment Health Womens Health Services Primary Care and Pediatrics departments.
