As a Locum Cardiology MD/DO you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality cardiac care to patients while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. This position will provide exposure to a variety of cases enhancing your clinical skills and knowledge in cardiology.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiology care to patients
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in cardiology
- Participate in continuous education and training opportunities
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Assist in patient education regarding heart health and prevention
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts 6a-6a
Daily Volume: 3-4 consults 4-8 stress tests and 5-12 echos
Duties:Consult patients in ED and inpatients collaborate with hospitalists and specialists supervise stress tests (pharmacological /exercise) interpret OP and INPT echocardiology Holter event monitors
Preferred Procedures: TEE transvenous pacing tilt table interpretation
Support Staff: Cardiology manager echocardiographers and cardiology technicians
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
