Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager Extrusion
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Location: Boisar
Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager Extrusion will be responsible for supervising extrusion operations machine setup and maintenance to ensure high-quality output efficiency and adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of extrusion machines plastic material handling and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee extrusion machine setup operation and daily production activities.
- Ensure proper usage and handling of plastic materials in line with product requirements.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of extrusion machines to minimize downtime.
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions where required.
- Train and guide operators on machine operation safety practices and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance reports using MS Office Excel and CMS systems.
- Coordinate with Quality Maintenance and Planning teams to achieve production goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste optimize efficiency and improve product quality.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and operating procedures.
Key Skills Required:
- Plastic Material Knowledge
- Extrusion Machine Setup and Operations
- Extrusion Machine Maintenance
- Computer Knowledge (MS Office CMS Excel)
Competencies Required:
- Strong technical skills in extrusion machines
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
- Teamwork abilities and leadership in a shop floor environment
- Capacity to follow and enforce safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma / BE / in Mechanical Electrical Polymer or Plastic Engineering.
- 58 years of relevant experience in extrusion operations in plastics industry.
