Job Summary (List Format):
- Perform radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation in accordance with safety standards
- Set up equipment and prepare patients for examinations
- Select appropriate transducers for examinations
- Obtain and review patient history and relevant clinical data
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimal imaging
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation
- Provide care for patients physical and psychological needs during procedures
- Requisition supplies equipment and maintenance services as needed
- Coordinate workflow for maximum productivity and efficiency
- Evaluate technical quality of ultrasound images
- Maintain accurate radiology records and ensure proper labeling of images
- Assist physicians with special procedures such as ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Instruct students in didactic and/or clinical ultrasound education
- Maintain knowledge of departmental and hospital policies including safety and infection control
- Participate in professional development and continuing education
- Maintain ethical relationships with patients staff and physicians ensuring patient confidentiality
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Ability to read write and communicate in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Registered by the ARRT (or registry eligible)
- Licensed by the State of Massachusetts
- BLS certification
- ARRT certification
