Job Description
Are you a skilled Radiology Technician looking for your next travel or contract opportunity Join a dedicated healthcare team in Waterloo IA and put your expertise to work in a fast-paced Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
Position Details:
- Shift: Monday Friday 07:00 AM 03:30 PM
- Schedule: 40 hours per week 8-hour shifts
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
- Type: Traveler / Contract Radiology Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient procedures.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to produce clear accurate diagnostic images.
- Position patients and equipment while ensuring patient safety comfort and understanding of the procedure.
- Operate imaging systems input commands and adjust scan settings for optimal results.
- Monitor patients during imaging following all radiation safety protocols.
- Produce and review diagnostic images documenting and reporting findings to physicians.
- Manage daily procedure schedules including emergencies and maintain radiographic supplies.
- Support administrative functions including scheduling patient education and answering technical inquiries.
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate emergency repairs for imaging equipment.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technician (Cath Lab experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of imaging equipment and radiation safety standards.
- Excellent communication organization and patient-care skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
