The Opportunity

Our client, a growing international business, is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting the Finance Director and Group Financial Controller with analysis, forecasting, and process improvements. You will also play a hands-on part in preparing for year-end and audit, while helping to strengthen financial controls across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with supporting analysis.

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and robust.

• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

• Support the Finance Director and Group FC with consolidated reporting.

• Work closely with the AP/AR teams to ensure smooth month-end close.

• Reconcile and maintain the lease schedule and other fixed asset records.

• Support year-end audit preparation and statutory compliance.

• Identify and drive process improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

• Previous experience in management accounts preparation.

• Strong Excel skills with confidence handling large data sets.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communicator, able to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Organised, proactive, and able to work to tight deadlines.
