Basic Job Functions:
Provide electrical support through automation installation maintenance and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
Answer calls and ensure continuous operations of production lines.
Perform preventive maintenance functions.
Perform configuration programming monitoring & troubleshooting for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) network switches servers and HMI workstations.
Develop and implement projects for continuous improvement.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience in electrical maintenance.
Equivalent electrical training or military experience will be considered.
Extensive knowledge in power distribution motor control centers instrumentation automated systems PLC and HMI programming and variable frequency drive troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility
Preferred Qualifications:
Two-year degree in electrical maintenance technology and three or more years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Extensive AC & DC motors and drives experience
Knowledge and experience with Power systems maintenance
Extensive PLC systems building programming and troubleshooting experience
HMI Wonderware Factory Talk building programming and troubleshooting experience
Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
