Senior/Platform Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Senior/Platform Support Engineer to join our team in maintaining and enhancing business-critical systems and shared platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact systems using modern technologies such as Java Python and open-source observability tools while contributing to the development of cloud-native applications.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include

• Platform Maintenance & Enhancement

  • Ensure the stability performance and scalability of issuer/data shared systems through proactive monitoring troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with solution vendors and internal platform specialists to deliver enhancements and changes into production environments.

• Observability & Monitoring

  • Develop and improve in-house observability tools using Elastic Logstash and Kibana to support trading and clearing operations.
  • Implement monitoring solutions and dashboards to detect anomalies and ensure system health.

• Compliance & System Hygiene

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Address system vulnerabilities support audit activities and ensure platform hygiene through regular patching and evidence collection.

• Operational Support

  • Perform application recovery non-functional testing and verification activities including support during off-hours and weekends.
  • Investigate and resolve application issues security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements are

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.
• 57 years of experience as a Software Developer or IT System Analyst.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Java Spring Boot MySQL Python
  • Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) deployment configuration monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Linux and Windows OS application support and maintenance
• Experience with open-source observability tools (Elastic Logstash Kibana) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell Python SQL PowerShell).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to support production systems during weekends and off-hours.
• A mindset focused on operational excellence and production reliability.
