Were looking for a passionate and empathetic Registered Nurse to join our Hepatitis C Programme team supporting community-based initiatives to eliminate Hepatitis C across the lower North Island.
Based in our Porirua or Wellington office this role includes screening and treating people with hepatitis C and involves some travel across the region engaging with diverse populations reducing stigma and increasing awareness and access to Hepatitis C treatment is a big part of what we do.
What Youll Bring
Current Annual Practising Certificate and at least two years of post-registration clinical experience.
A genuine passion for helping others with empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.
Commitment to improving equity in health outcomes especially for underserved populations such as Mori and people who inject
drugs (PWID).
Willingness to develop knowledge and skills in Hepatitis C and its treatment or have existing knowledge in this area.
Strong relationship and engagement skills with the ability to connect with different communities.
Confidence in delivering education and training in group settings.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential)
Phlebotomy experience.
Background in community health outreach particularly with marginalised populations or those with mental health and addiction
challenges.
Understanding of tikanga Mori and/or ability to speak Te Reo.
Experience using the Indici patient management system.
