QC Bioassay Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a motivated colleague to join our QC Bioassay department.
As an employee in Quality Control at AGC Biologics in Sborg you can look forward to a high level of responsibility and varied tasks. You will also become part of a strong team in an open and informal environment characterized by solid professionalism a fast pace and plenty of good laughs.

The Department

The vacant position is placed in QC Bioassay one of four departments in our QC organization.

QC Bioassay consists of 48 employees both scientists and technicians organized into four teams:

  • Bioassay Scientists
  • Bioassay Technicians
  • Bioassay Cell ELISA & Reference Materials
  • General Analytics

We perform a broad range of compendial methods bioassays and cell-based assays. Our responsibilities include method validations for early- and late-stage products release testing of clinical and commercial batches (DS and DP) as well as stability testing. Finally we support the 24/7 manufacturing operations by testing in-process stop/go samples.

Role and Responsibilities

As a technician in the QC Cell-based ELISA & Reference Materials team you will join a small group with a primary focus on cell-based assays. The team performs batch release testing (DS and DP) stability studies and analytical method validations.

You will be involved in analytical testing of drug substance drug product and in-process samples as well as contributing to stability programs and method validations for phase IIII and commercial products.

Main responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of cell-based methods.
  • Report results including data processing in LIMS and system setup.
  • Participate in method validation studies and troubleshooting.
  • Perform timely testing of stop/go samples to support manufacturing.
  • Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with cGMP.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a Laboratory Technician (Laborant) degree. We expect you to have a structured mindset the ability to work independently and to meet tight deadlines with a positive can-do attitude without compromising on quality.

In addition you bring some of the following experience and characteristics:

  • Hands-on experience with bioanalytical and cell-based methods.
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment under European and US regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and a service-minded approach as you will collaborate closely with stakeholders primarily manufacturing.
  • A flair for teamwork combined with the ability and desire to work independently.
  • The capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
