New Grad RN-Pediatric Adolescent Psychiatry

The Johns Hopkins Hospital-Bloomberg 12has a 15 bed acute care inpatient psychiatry unit and a 12 slot psychiatric Day Hospital for voluntary patients aged 5-17. Most commonly seen diagnoses include mood disorders anxiety psychosis bipolar and adjustment in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) rotate between our three service areas: Bloomberg 12 South -Inpatient Bloomberg 12 North - Day Hospital and the Psych Pod in the Pediatric Emergency Department. Responsibilities in the three areas are similar: assessment milieu management de-escalation medication administration and general nursing care etc though the workflow in the care areas varies. Patients in all three areas are of various ages (up to 17) and developmental capacities and come with a wide variety of mental and behavioral health issues.

Who Should Apply:

• Associated degree in nursing required!
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required

All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.

Salary Range: Minimum35.02per hour - Maximum51.16per will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
