What Youll Do
- Processes notifications and performs planning required to prepare work package.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of information on work orders/shop floor paperwork.
- Performs a detailed walk-down of the calibration site for evaluation of accessibility standards needed equipment/process conditions safety hazards radiological considerations permit requirements waste material and security requirements.
- Coordinates necessary administrative needs for field activities submitting POD requests HIW forms NCS requests RWP requests and ensuring any permits required to perform the job are obtained.
- Ensures that necessary standards and supplies specified in the job packages are ordered calibrated and available prior to when they are needed for execution of the calibration work.
- Interfaces with technical support groups such as Engineering Nuclear Crit Safety Safety & Industrial Hygiene RadCon and others to obtain input to proposed job methods.
- Collaborates with metrology engineers to develop work instructions documenting sequence and method of work execution.
- Serves as the primary contact between ORMC and the customer requesting calibration work.
- Communicates status changes and updates to scheduled work on the work order following the ORMC workflow process.
- Sequences calibrations and develops a weekly schedule based on expiration dates customer needs workload standards availability metrologists resources and qualifications held.
- Recommends cost-effective scheduling and batching of calibrations minimizing impacts to mission objectives.
- Performs related duties such as providing relief supervision for craft supervisors.
- Works in a MAA greater than 40 hours per year.

Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in calibration scheduling and/or work coordination.
- OR Associates degree in related discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A: (i.e. High School diploma; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
Preferred Job Requirements
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks at once have good organizational skills strong verbal and written communication skills sound decision-making skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.
- Must be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Prior planning experience is a plus.
- Calibration/maintenance experience at the craft level or relevant technical degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in fundamental Microsoft Office Suite products is desired.
