The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Project Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for landscaping projects ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of landscaping materials construction methods and market pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for landscaping projects including materials labor equipment and other expenses.
Project Analysis: Review project plans specifications and other documentation to develop comprehensive cost assessments.
Bid Preparation: Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals to clients ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
Vendor Relations: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and terms.
Budget Management: Work closely with project managers to monitor and control project budgets providing regular updates and adjustments as needed.
Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized records of all estimates bids and project-related financial information.
Collaboration: Coordinate with the design team project managers and clients to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends pricing and new products or services that could impact project costs.

Qualifications

3-5 years of estimating experience in construction landscape or sitework contracting.
Strong background in multi-scope estimatingideally from a general contractor or landscape firm.
Deep understanding of construction methods for hardscape softscape lighting irrigation and urban sitework.
Financially savvy: knows how to protect margin uncover hidden costs and value-engineer without compromise.
Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of building systems from the ground up.
Excellent communication skills with designers clients subs and internal teams.
