Job Description:
The Contract Liaison Estimator is responsible for reviewing estimating and negotiating Over and Above (O&A) to ensure labor hours are captured for correction of discrepancies on aircraft and/or aircraft equipment discovered during PDM. Frequently requires in-depth research of Structural Repair manuals Maintenance manuals L3Harris Engineering drawings and OEM engineering to support detailed estimates.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Review O&A dispositions to ensure labor and maintenance appropriately is captured. Represent operations during discussions with the Customer and internal organizations.
- Job duties require frequent travel to the aircraft or shop to assess defects which can involve: aircraft entry; climbing on ladders or stands; travelling to flight line and/or back shops.
- Physical requirements of position involves walking bending stooping twisting and climbing approximately 20% of time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience working with SAP.
- Minimum 4 years experience reading and interpreting Structural Drawings and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Security Clearance
- Proficient withMicrosoft Office Suite with heavy emphasis on Excel and Power Point.
- Must possess a strong aptitude for problem solving.
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Must be a self-starter and motivated.
- Must be technically proficient.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to coordinate with other functional groups and support organizations.
