The Opportunity
We are seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team in Vaughan this role you will play a key part in supporting our top-line growth profitability and free cash flow while minimizing bad debt risk and ensuring compliance with company payment terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer accounts in accordance with credit policy.
- Proactively contact delinquent customers via phone and email to secure payments or commitments.
- Develop and maintain a structured collection follow-up process.
- Communicate with customers to resolve credit and collections issues.
- Investigate and resolve customer deductions and chargebacks; determine credit eligibility.
- Manage and resolve disputes through consistent follow-up until resolution.
- Collaborate with sales and credit teams to address credit limit concerns with minimal customer disruption.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Release customer orders daily.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with cash application as needed.
- Escalate high-risk or problematic accounts to the Credit Manager.
- Support additional credit-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- College or university degree.
- CCP designation or enrollment in the CCP program is required
- 35 years of relevant experience in credit and collections.
- Strong understanding of receivables management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Experience with JD Edwards is an asset.
- Bilingual in French is an asset but not required.
