Join our team as a Principal Program Quality Lead (PQL) supporting the Advanced Common Products (ACP) in Tucson this role youll drive a robust quality culture practices and collaboration efforts. Your focus will be implementing strategic quality enhancements across multiple contracts.

As the primary quality interface for customers and suppliers youll ensure the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. This includes coordinating with functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and overseeing contracts through all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases from design to production and sustainment.

Youll develop and monitor quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives working closely with integrated teams to enforce process rigor. and driving transition to production activities. Youll lead Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) First Article Inspection and Quality Control Plan efforts and play a key role in Material Review Board Change Control Board and Risk Review Board.

This is an Onsite role based in Tucson Arizona.

What You Will Do:

  • You will engage on both strategic and tactical levels focusing on quality cost and schedule performance early engagement influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers
  • You will develop partnerships with program and production leaders IPTs and support functions to drive issue resolution and implement improved processes.
  • You will develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will directly affect the programs execution and influence.
  • You will initiate and perform root cause analysis facilitate corrective actions and implement closed loop process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability.
  • You will interpret command media in compliance to work being performed.
  • You will generate new Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • You will implement Advanced Product Quality Planning in accordance with AS9145 as applicable.

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of relevant experience in the areas below;
    • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
    • Working experience translating external and internal requirements and command media.
    • Working experience in providing technical program expertise for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Six Sigma Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications.
  • Experience in other functional areas such as engineering supplier engineering or operations.
  • Experience using interpersonal skills and working with customers suppliers and in a team environment.
  • Experience using PFMEA SPC Control Plans and Process Capability Assessments.
  • Experience in hardware inspections and inspection standards.
  • Demonstrated performance being a passionate high-energy self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.
  • Experience facilitatingcross-functionalteams in systematic improvement activities.
  • Experience working with and technically interfacing with various engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated use of sound judgement and applying resolution-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention.
  • Experience communicating verbally and in written communications and networking with other stakeholders.

Onsite: Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Clearance Information: Clearance Information:This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: AZ: salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
