About the role :
We are looking for a special kind of person a St Vincents kind of person. Someone who puts compassion connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Living Support Manager (Care Manager) to join our dynamic team at St Vincents Care Mitchelton. In this role you will report directly to the Residential Care Services Manager and will be a member the Senior Leadership Team comprising Residential Care Services Manager Living Support Manager Clinical Manager and Hospitality Services Manager. The Living Support Manager leads the team that designs and delivers all Daily Living Activities and Support Services across the household. This team provides personal care cooking lifestyle activities serving of food cleaning laundry transport pastoral care and companionship.They contribute to and lead St Vincents Care Services as a person centric culture that maintains that people are at the centre of all that we do. The Living Support Manager leads and supervises Living Support team members Hotel Services team and contractors and ensures all services and work is in line with legislative and industry compliance and standards

Things that work for us:

  • Availability to work full time Monday to Friday 0800-1606

  • Cert III in Individual Support or similar field or equivalent experience in aged care. Qualifications in management business or health management highly regarded

  • Previous leadership experience in an aged care home

  • Uphold the philosophy of person-directed care within home

  • Facilitate and monitor that the Living Support team members and all other Support Services team members know each resident in their care understand what each person can do and what assistance they want and how they prefer to be assisted to meet the personal care comfort hygiene and dignity of residents

  • Recruit monitor develop and support appropriately skilled staff and volunteers ensuring that the values and goals of St Vincents Care are reflected and practiced

  • Engage with consumers families carers and advocate to promote and support residents wellbeing and independence by encouraging and supporting people to identify access and engage in their preferred activities and interests

  • Monitor that Care Plans are developed in partnership with the resident or their representative and that required information is shared in an appropriate efficient and timely way

  • Provide leadership and support in the delivery of daily living and personal care to residents in line with SVCSs Mission Vision and Values and the SCVS Integrated Service Delivery

  • Maintain knowledge of and monitor compliance at all times with the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards
