TITLE:
Executive Assistant of the Department of Special Education

2025-2026 School Year

POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of this position involves performing various tasks to provide essential needs andefficiencies for students and staff to have successful instructional programs. The goal is tocreate a secure learning environment that meets the high standards set by FraminghamPublic Schools. CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and at least one year relatedexperience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior successful experience working in a school office setting preferred.Previous experience and knowledge around Special Education laws and regulationspreferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITY:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. procedure manuals and governmental regulations; to compile information into routinereports; to draft correspondence; to engage in basic mathematical skills.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those anemployee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the

Employees work in an office with moderate noise levels (such as computers and printers)and controlled temperature conditions. The position requires frequent sitting standingwalking and reaching with hands and arms occasionally. Ability to talk and to hearcontinuously. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds periodically. Finger dexterity is requiredcontinuously for the normal work shift such as for typing filing dialing the phone etc.Some travel between schools may be necessary so the ability to operate a motor vehicleand maintain a valid Drivers license is required; the employee shall be compensated per thecontract with a travel allowance as the applicable rate per the Framingham TeachersAssociation Secretaries (Unit S) Contract.

REPORTS TO:
Director of Special Education. The performance of this job will be evaluated as per theFramingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.


FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) CLASSIFICATION:
This position is classified as Non-Exempt (Hourly).

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Covered under Framingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract. Please notethat the District reserves the right to transfer all personnel among buildings on an as-needed basisneeded basis to serve the best interests of all students as long as such transfer is incompliance with the Framingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract.
