Assistant Coach Cross Country

Position Type: Part-Time

Location: Combination of Onsite & Remote


Position Summary:

The Mens & Womens Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in delivering a competitive

and positive cross-country program for student-athletes. This role involves assisting with

practices competitions recruiting and program operations while fostering a culture of

discipline teamwork and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities:


Attend and help oversee practices twice a week during the in-season.

Travel to competitions according to the then-current competition schedule.

Participate in and contribute to team meetings.

Assist with transportation including driving school vans when needed.

Lead and oversee recruiting efforts year-round.

Support the Head Coach in ensuring a safe organized and engaging training

environment.


Minimum Qualifications:


At least one (1) year of experience coaching or competing in cross-country.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Valid drivers license and ability to meet driving requirements for school vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:


Three (3) years of coaching experience.

Certifications in training coaching or wellness.

Experience recruiting and mentoring student-athletes.

Work Schedule:


In-season practices twice per week (onsite).

Competition travel as scheduled.

Year-round recruiting responsibilities (remote and onsite as needed).
