Job Description

Director of Servicing

We are seeking a strategic and process-focused Director of Servicing to lead the oversight management and optimization of our commercial real estate loan servicing platform. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration of loan servicing operations including borrower communication compliance monitoring investor reporting and payment processing.

This role sits at the intersection of asset management operations and investor relationsideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and brings both technical servicing knowledge and team leadership experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of Servicing professionals
  • Provide mentorship training and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with investments asset management legal and investor relations.



Loan Servicing & Administration

  • Oversee end-to-end loan servicing operations by monitoring remittances from borrowers and to lenders administering impound funds and covenant compliance.
  • Manage servicing of bridge loans structured finance and other CRE debt products.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of performance reporting loan onboarding and data presentation.
  • Lead borrower communication on servicing matters such as payoff quotes loan extensions and consents.



Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor portfolio for servicing covenant compliance and proactively escalate exceptions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with legal and asset management teams on delinquency default resolution workouts and modifications.



Technology & Process Optimization

  • Evaluate and implement loan servicing systems and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop SOPs servicing checklists and training resources to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Partner with accounting to support reconciliations investor reporting and audit processes.



HERES WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

  • Problem solving ability can-do attitude natural resilience and temperament to nurture successful relationships

  • 712 years of loan servicing or accounting experience ideally in CRE debt or structured finance.

  • Previous leadership or management experience in a fund or servicing environment preferred.

  • Understanding of functions including escrow payoff loan documents and borrower communications.

  • Experience with loan servicing software (e.g. FICS MRI RealINSIGHT SS&C or custom-built tools).

  • Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial setting.
