Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco Sunnyvale or remote.

The Small Business Marketing team shapes how LinkedIn shows up for small business owners helping them find customers hire talent and grow with confidence. We are a highly collaborative team and work closely with partners across marketing product sales finance and operations to accelerate growth.

Were looking for a strategic analytical and highly collaborative Director of Strategy & Operations to join the Small Business Marketing leadership team. Youll play a critical role in shaping our growth strategy driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring our team operates with precision and impact. This role reports to the VP of Small Business Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles for Small Business Marketing including OKR development and tracking
  • Partner with teams across Marketing Finance Product and Sales to align on growth strategies and investment priorities
  • Drive operational rigor and efficiency across Small Business marketing programs and cross-functional partnerships
  • Manage monthly business reviews and executive reporting
  • Identify and resolve operational gaps; anticipate risks and proactively design scalable solutions
  • Explore strategic partnership opportunities to expand reach and engagement with the small business audience
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and address unmet needs in the small business ecosystem ensuring LinkedIn delivers differentiated value
  • Advocate for marketplace health by identifying systemic barriers to small business success and driving cross-functional solutions that improve platform outcomes
  • Foster a high-performing team culture grounded in accountability transparency and impact

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience in marketing strategy operations or general management roles
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience  

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a bias toward clarity and action
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in large matrixed environments; skilled in stakeholder management
  • Analytical mindset with experience developing dashboards managing KPIs and developing business cases based on data & insights
  • Proactive resourceful and skilled at anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities

The pay range for this role is $167000-$273000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
