Role Summary
Plans and coordinates day-to-day fiscal administrative and operational activities of a defined program or set of funded activities. Programs are usually focused to a single purpose may be scientific research educational or service oriented and may exist as a subset of an integrated funded program activity. Duties typically include assisting with grant planning and administration fiscal budgetary and/or other associated transactions program implementation and administration internal and external operational/administrative liaison program marketing and reporting.
1. Designs implements and coordinates student retention programs conferences and other initiatives.
2. Advises student organizations and serves as a liaison between student organizations and administration.
3. Coordinates assessment and evaluation of programs and services
4. Manages and maintains assigned budgets.
Examples of Work Performed
Support initiatives from divisional and institutional strategic plans.
Works with a variety of constituents to assess and address barriers to access retention and success; develops partnerships and interventions with departments and organizations campus-wide to support student access efforts.
Provide oversight for pre-admission programs and related student success initiatives including the Mississippi Outreach to Scholastic Talent suite of programs.
Provide advising support and programming resources to student organizations.
Coordinate leadership conferences training opportunities and initiatives to promote students sense of belonging self-efficacy and personal/professional development.
Coordinate the design and distribution of communication materials associated with access and recruitment initiatives.
Assist with updating content and resources available on the departmental website.
Collects maintains and distributes statistical information regarding program participants recruitment retention and academic success.
Manages budgets for access initiatives to include oversight of purchases for student leadership teams and preparation of budget reports and updates.
Leverages technology to aid recruiting mentoring retention and student success efforts.
Supervise and train staff including graduate assistants and student employees.
Assists with the coordinates of office programming.
Supports initiatives outlined in the Division of Access Opportunity and Community Engagements Strategic Plan.
Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Essential Functions

1. Provides specialized support in the development implementation and marketing of program function.
2. Serves as a central point of contact between students faculty staff other departments and/or external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic operational and administrative matters; assists with seminars meetings special projects and/or general problem resolution.
3. Coordinates activities of support staff consultants faculty and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
4. Monitors and administers program/project revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.
5. Writes edits and coordinates development of course catalogs promotional materials educational materials training manuals newsletters and/or brochures as appropriate to the program.
6. Maintains program/project records researches information and gathers and computes various data; prepares special and/or one-time reports summaries or replies to inquiries selecting relevant data from a variety of sources.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education:Bachelors Degree
Experience:(3) Three Years Experience
