Job Summary

The Director Director of Business Systems is responsible for shaping and executing PayNearMes enterprise technology strategy including our selection and implementation of an AI tool stack. This leader will partner across all business functions to ensure our enterprise systems like Salesforce Jira Zendesk and Intacct along with their integrations and related processes scale effectively with the company deliver measurable business value and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Roadmap

    • Partner with executives and business stakeholders to understand functional needs and translate them into a strategic enterprise systems roadmap.
    • Define and communicate a clear vision for PayNearMes business systems aligned with company priorities business metrics and scaling requirements.
    • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate system performance adoption and business impact and use them to inform prioritization.
  • Systems Architecture & Execution

    • Radically streamline our quote-to-cash contracting and billing processes that support our complex enterprise client contracts by enhancing our salesforce ecosystem integrating with other tools and databases automating workflows and building custom business logic.
    • Help our client and customer service teams scale with our rapid growth by improving their existing tools like Salesforce and Zendesk and integrating new tools AI and automations to support client onboarding implementation management customer health monitoring renewal conversations and more.
    • Support our money movement business by partnering with our Finance and Accounting teams to automate and streamline existing accounting and reconciliation processes leveraging a variety of data sources such as Salesforce Intacct Snowflake Egnyte and more.
    • Partner with Sales Customer Success Accounting Finance and other teams to identify and implement systems needs and/or process improvements.
    • Drive the selection integration and optimization of enterprise systems and applications across the business.
    • Ensure security compliance and scalability across all business systems.
  • AI & Emerging Technologies

    • Develop PayNearMes enterprise AI tooling strategy to maximize business value while minimizing tooling sprawl.
    • Evaluate and implement AI-powered solutions that streamline processes improve data insights and enhance employee productivity.
    • Partner with our VP of Data Engineering to identify and implement our core AI tooling stack accounting for layers like: workflow automation data platform vector store LLM access prompt and chain frameworks governance monitoring security knowledge management and interfaces.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend and integrate emerging technologies.
  • Team Building & Management

    • Recruit lead and mentor a team of systems architects administrators and developers.
    • Establish best practices for project management vendor selection and systems governance.
    • Create a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Change Management & Enablement

    • Develop change management strategies to drive adoption of new tools and processes.
    • Build training and communication plans to maximize user engagement and minimize disruption.
    • Optimize end-to-end workflows ensuring seamless integrations between applications.
  • Data & Analytics Alignment

    • Build systems that improve real-time visibility into key business metrics at various levels of the organization combining inputs from multiple tools and databases.
    • Partner closely with Data & operations leadership to ensure systems feed high-quality standardized data.

Qualifications :

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of technical program management experience leading complex technology projects and programs.
  • 5 years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Proven experience identifying and addressing systemic inefficiencies and scaling technical programs.
  • Experience building growing and leading a technical program management organization.
  • Expertise with Agile and Scrum frameworks and the application in product development and delivery.
  • Fluency with the Atlassian ecosystem; Jira Jira Product Discovery Advanced roadmaps and Atlas. 
  •  Strong communication and executive presence; able to influence across all levels. 
  • Proven interpersonal skills including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to influence across virtual teams and disparate stakeholder groups.
  • Strategic organizational thinker with a track record of strengthening program governance and controls within an organization.

Location: Flexible/Remote (within the US)

Salary Range: $200000 - 250000
