DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Information Management Coordinator. This position leads complex projects of considerable difficulty in fulfillment of the Departments public records requests involving cross-divisional high-profile media and large-scale requests for internal email communications and other public doing so this position serves as primary contact regarding public records requests for the Directors Office Division staff Attorney Generals Office other state agencies outside public interest entities law firms law enforcement entities and the general public. This position coordinates litigation holds with the Departments General Counsel and Attorney Generals Office and assists with litigation-related projects manages a portfolio of privacy-related projects and functions as subject matter expert for the Administrations IT projects and systems.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leads complex projects of considerable difficulty in fulfillment of Departments public records requests involving cross-divisional high-profile media and large-scale requests for internal email communications and other public documents.
  • Identifies data and resources required to manage projects related to fulfillment of public records requests. Provides project leadership and advice to internal and external stakeholders and performs other strategic and analytical tasks in coordination with the Privacy Records Analyst.
  • Leads coordination efforts in processing litigation holds serving as central organizational contact for the Attorney Generals Office the Departments General Counsel and Department staff. Assists with fulfillment of litigation-related projects including gathering Department records as part of the discovery process.
  • Leads and manages a portfolio of privacy-related projects as directed by the Chief Privacy Officer. Tracks and reports on progress status and risks. Conducts research and consults with Supervisor Division staff and other state agencies to resolve issues ensuring complete and timely responses. Provides written status reports.
  • Provides technical guidance for Administrations IT projects and systems.

Selective Preference(s):

This ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Three years of experience involving project management high level analysis of programs or processes and/or experience with legal documents
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify) applicable to all newly hired State employees.
  • Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
  • Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however mileage will be reimbursed.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
