Job Overview
McDonald Auto Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The Recruiter will play a critical role in attracting sourcing and hiring top talent to support our growing operations across our dealerships. This position requires a proactive people-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about connecting exceptional candidates with rewarding career opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing: Proactively source and recruit qualified candidates for roles across sales service administrative and technical positions using job boards social media networking and community outreach.
Candidate Screening: Review applications conduct initial phone screens and assess candidates skills experience and cultural fit for McDonald Auto Group.
Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience.
Job Posting Management: Create and post compelling job descriptions on various platforms ensuring alignment with the companys brand and values.
Candidate Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with candidates providing timely communication and feedback throughout the hiring process.
Hiring Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs develop role-specific recruitment strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
Employer Branding: Promote McDonald Auto Group as an employer of choice through community events career fairs and social media initiatives.
Compliance: Ensure recruitment processes comply with federal and state employment laws including equal opportunity and diversity standards.
Onboarding Support: Assist with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires collaborating with HR and department leads.
Data Tracking: Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities including candidate pipelines hiring metrics and applicant tracking system (ATS) updates.
Qualifications
Experience: 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferably in automotive retail or a fast-paced industry. Experience with high-volume hiring is a plus.
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and build trust.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) job boards (e.g. Indeed LinkedIn) and social media recruiting tools.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in recruitment.
