Job Overview

McDonald Auto Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The Recruiter will play a critical role in attracting sourcing and hiring top talent to support our growing operations across our dealerships. This position requires a proactive people-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about connecting exceptional candidates with rewarding career opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Sourcing: Proactively source and recruit qualified candidates for roles across sales service administrative and technical positions using job boards social media networking and community outreach.

  • Candidate Screening: Review applications conduct initial phone screens and assess candidates skills experience and cultural fit for McDonald Auto Group.

  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience.

  • Job Posting Management: Create and post compelling job descriptions on various platforms ensuring alignment with the companys brand and values.

  • Candidate Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with candidates providing timely communication and feedback throughout the hiring process.

  • Hiring Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs develop role-specific recruitment strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Employer Branding: Promote McDonald Auto Group as an employer of choice through community events career fairs and social media initiatives.

  • Compliance: Ensure recruitment processes comply with federal and state employment laws including equal opportunity and diversity standards.

  • Onboarding Support: Assist with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires collaborating with HR and department leads.

  • Data Tracking: Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities including candidate pipelines hiring metrics and applicant tracking system (ATS) updates.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferably in automotive retail or a fast-paced industry. Experience with high-volume hiring is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and build trust.

    • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) job boards (e.g. Indeed LinkedIn) and social media recruiting tools.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

    • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in recruitment.

  • Attributes:
