Job Description

Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a$3.2 billion community bank in Indiana in their search for their next Chief Human Resource Officer.

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a strategic business partner and key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for leading all aspects of the Human Resources function. The CHRO drives the development and execution of HR strategies that support the banks mission values and long-term business objectives ensuring a high-performing engaged and compliant workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead culture transformation and change management efforts as the bank scales and adapts to new technologies markets and talent needs.
  • Oversee talent acquisition retention and workforce planning to ensure the bank is positioned with the right talent in the right roles.
  • Manage employee relations workplace investigations and complex employee matters in partnership with Legal and Risk teams.
  • Advance the banks DEI efforts with measurable outcomes reinforcing an inclusive culture where all employees feel valued and supported.
  • Design and manage competitive and compliant compensation benefits and incentive programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices align with all federal and state employment laws bank regulations and risk frameworks.
  • Optimize HR systems and tools (e.g. HRIS LMS) to improve employee self-service data integrity and decision-making.
  • Deliver strategic HR reporting and workforce analytics to support operational and board-level insights.
  • Align HR initiatives with the banks strategic plan growth goals and regulatory environment.

Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required; Masters degree or HR certifications (e.g. SPHR SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Experience: 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience with at least 5 years in a senior HR executive role in the banking or financial services sector.
