Come Join Vitality Living as the Learning and Development Specialist - Hybrid Role (Support Office - Brentwood TN)!
The Learning and Development Specialist will partner with department heads and subject matter experts to develop and design training programs to ensure all employees are being set up for success. They will manage the learning management system and state required trainings new hire orientation and internal career pathing program.
This person must be extroverted and self-motivated as this role requires this person to meet with stakeholders identify priorities and then complete those with little oversight. This role requires three days in the office in Brentwood TN (Support Office).
Responsibilities:
- Partner with department heads and subject matter experts to pull together all current training materials identify gaps and inconsistencies and assess training needs.
- Using proven learning techniques create a full Vitality training program for each community position using a combination of checklists classroom and virtual training.
- Create and manage a new hire orientation program.
- Create and track assessments to ensure learning transfer is happening effectively.
- Create and maintain program materials such as presentation decks videos handouts job aids etc.
- Develop a career path to show growth and development within the company.
- Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Manage the coordination and facilitation of training classes.
- Manage the training for all new acquisitions
- Assist the HR Department with other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education Instructional Design Organizational Development or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a corporate training role
- At least one year of Instructional Design experience or in a similar role applying adult learning principles and methodologies to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content is preferred
- The ability to take new information and relay it to others in an easy-to-understand way
- Experience managing a learning management system
- Videography and video editing skills preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Experience with Relias is a plus
- Senior living experience highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
