Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Eastern with an hour unpaid break

About our client

Our client is a trusted feed mill based in Benson North Carolinaserving farmers and agricultural businesses for over 30 years. They pride ourselves on producing high-quality custom feed blends and delivering exceptional customer service to their community. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately record daily financial transactions and journal entries in QuickBooks Online.
Perform daily weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R): create invoices apply customer payments follow up on overdue accounts.
Manage Accounts Payable (A/P): enter bills process vendor payments maintain vendor records.
Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper coding of transactions.
Prepare and deliver monthly quarterly and year-end financial reports to management.
Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to management.
Ensure all financial records are organized and ready for internal review or audit.
Communicate effectively with our team team to resolve accounting queries.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Excellent attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with U.S.-based companies preferably in agriculture manufacturing or distribution.
Familiarity with U.S. accounting standards.
