About our client
Our client is a trusted feed mill based in Benson North Carolinaserving farmers and agricultural businesses for over 30 years. They pride ourselves on producing high-quality custom feed blends and delivering exceptional customer service to their community. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately record daily financial transactions and journal entries in QuickBooks Online.
- Perform daily weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R): create invoices apply customer payments follow up on overdue accounts.
- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P): enter bills process vendor payments maintain vendor records.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Prepare and deliver monthly quarterly and year-end financial reports to management.
- Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to management.
- Ensure all financial records are organized and ready for internal review or audit.
- Communicate effectively with our team team to resolve accounting queries.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies preferably in agriculture manufacturing or distribution.
- Familiarity with U.S. accounting standards.
