Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret data stored in Oracle databases to provide insights for decision-making and business process improvement.
- Design and develop complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to extract manipulate and analyse data efficiently.
- Create reports dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Oracle BI and Power BI.
- Perform data profiling to understand data structures relationships and patterns.
- Conduct data cleansing and quality assessments to ensure accuracy consistency and completeness.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for queries reports dashboards and data processes.
- Optimise SQL queries for performance improvements in large datasets.
- Work closely with database administrators to ensure database integrity security and availability.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with data governance privacy regulations and organisational standards.
- Participate in testing and validation of new data sources processes and reports.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or higher in an ICT-related field (e.g. Computer Science or Information Technology).
- Oracle certification is an added advantage.

- Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience with Oracle Database technologies and data analysis tools.
