Job Summary
Position Description:
The preferred candidate for this role will be located in Detroit Michigan however remote workers can be considered as well.
The SQL DBA role is focused on supporting database administration architecture development and implementation of best practices. This person works very closely with client senior DBA and also with a DBA from APAC. This role is ideally located in Michigan. Remote work within US is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Perform next generation SQL DB architecture design and implementation
Perform DB upgrades and Migrations
Coordinate activities with APAC DBA supporting the European time zone
Assist client DBA in resolving operational/outage issues
Developing next Generation SQL architecture for Lear
DB migration & software upgrades
DB performance tuning
DB capacity planning
Data replication and change data capture (CDC) setup & management
Implement comprehensive DB health check & recommendation
Implement DB High Availability/Mirroring solution
Implement tools/instrument monitoring of database and data sync processes
Implement DB security and audit policies
Design develop and implement automation of (via scripts) DB functions (DB Shrink purge archive backup and restore etc.)
Resolve high priority plant issues related to the database development work
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5 years SQL DBA experience
Developing Optimizing and troubleshooting migrating SQL DBs
SQL DB Certification a plus
PowerShell scripting is a plus

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69700.00 - $185100.00.
