Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are Hiring Enhanced Staff Nurse-Oncology/Oncology Day Unit for a leading hospital in Dublin Ireland.
37.5 hours per week( Permanent / Full-time)

Responsibilities

  • Provide patients in oncology and palliative care with expert hands-on care while also keeping an eye on the planning execution and assessment of individualized patient care with a patient-centered approach.
  • Prioritize the safety of patients and personnel when administering chemotherapeutic medications in compliance with local policies and recommendations.
  • Recognize the complex requirements of patients in oncology and palliative care and offer them and their families comprehensive support.
  • An adaptable method for rostering
  • willingness to switch between the oncology day unit and the inpatient unit.
  • Take part in the coordination of outpatient cancer clinics.
  • Recognize community-based resources for patients with cancer and those facing a terminal illness.
  • Provide emergency medical and surgical patients and their families with comprehensive support services while keeping in mind their complex needs.

Requirements

  • Complete enrollment in the General section of the NMBI-maintained Register of Nurses.
  • At least one year of recent pertinent post-registration nursing experience working in an acute hospital setting either full-time or with comparable part-time hours
  • Chemotherapy Although not necessary competence is recommended. On-site training will be provided.
  • It is preferable to enroll in or be willing to enroll in a recognized post-registration nursing education such as a Higher Diploma or Post Graduate course in Oncology.
  • Maintain a current Basic Life Support certification or work toward one.
  • Excellent clinical and professional skills
  • IT abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • English language proficiency both in writing and speaking.
