The role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Hong Kong Capital Markets and Corporate Practice team. The successful candidate will support our lawyers in delivering top-tier legal services to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of capital markets and corporate law excellent organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with the preparation and review of legal documents related to capital markets and corporate transactions.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws regulations and market practices.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes including the collection and review of documents.
- Prepare and organise transaction documentation including prospectuses offering memoranda and other related materials.
- Liaise with clients regulatory bodies and other stakeholders as required.
- Maintain and update case files ensuring all documentation is accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Assist in the preparation of board resolutions shareholder agreements and other corporate governance documents.
- Support the team in managing transaction timelines and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Perform other administrative and support tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
Your experience
- Bachelors degree in Law or a related field.
- Previous experience as a paralegal in capital markets supporting US IPO DCM transactions is preferred
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong capital markets and corporate law.
- Excellent research analytical and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
