Job Summary
Hire Resolves Client is urgently looking for a Mine Manager to be based at a mine in the Northern Cape!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Sections 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Lead and coordinate all mining operations to ensure safe efficient and cost-effective production in compliance with legal and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement strategic mine plans schedules and budgets aligned with business objectives and profitability targets.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team and oversee performance training and development of staff and business partners.
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHS Act) holding the statutory 3.1(a) appointment and driving a strong safety culture.
- Oversee contractor performance and productivity across drilling blasting load & haul and road maintenance operation
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
- Opencast Blasting Certificate
- 10 years experience in Opencast or Openpit mining and at least 5 years as a 3.1 Legal Appointment in terms of Mine Health and Safety Act
- Valid Drivers License
