Duties & Responsibilities
Finance Manager Commodity Experience Required Centurion R 900 000 RCTC per annum
Purpose of the Role: To oversee and manage all financial aspects of Commodity Procurement (CP) including:
Execution of CP contracts and coordination with primary suppliers.
Processing and reconciliation of supplier payments and CP invoices to mills.
Oversight of CP pre-paid stock and debtor accounts.
Preparation of monthly CP income statements.
Development of monthly and quarterly CP true-up forecasts.
Cash flow forecasting related to CP activities.
Administration and governance of the CP contract management system.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary CP Supplier Payments:
Track contract execution by raw material and mill.
Authorize payments per contract terms and resolve supplier queries.
Oversee CP GRIR per mill.
CP Invoices to Mills:
Resolve pricing discrepancies and weight variances between systems.
Management of CP Pre-paid Stock & Debtors:
Reconcile internal vs external stock records.
Align debtor balances between Excel and SAP.
Monthly CP Income Statement:
Prepare journal entries and reconcile trial balances.
Compile month-end reports including CP true-up breakdowns.
Forecasting & Cash Flow:
Maintain monthly and quarterly CP true-up forecasts.
Prepare bi-monthly and weekly cash flow forecasts.
Contract Management System Oversight:
Archive contract documentation and update standard cost data in Excel and system.
Requirements:
BCom or relevant financial qualification
CA(SA) or CIMA advantageous but not essential
57 years of relevant financial and managerial experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
Foundational understanding of commodities procurement
