Job Description
Job Description: Service Technician
Location: Kenner LA 70062
Job Summary:
The Service Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles including oil changes tire rotations and brake replacements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles
- Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technology and techniques
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GM Service Technician experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Must submit to and successfully complete an MVR background check physical and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand walk and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
