Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our Critical Technologies this role you will support Project Managers with daily oversight of multiple projects ensuring smooth setup compliance documentation and reporting. You will collaborate with site technical teams manage subcontractor and installation progress and assist with procurement and logistics. This position requires regular site visits and offers excellent career growth opportunities for individuals proficient in project management fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize project documentation including compliance records schedules daily reports labor reports change orders and quality control.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor subcontractor and mechanical installation progress providing status updates to management.

  • Develop and process change orders in alignment with company policies and bidding/sales processes.

  • Support procurement material transmittals and logistics with internal teams and subcontractors.

  • Attend project meetings record minutes and deliver timely updates to management.

  • Track schedules monitor milestones and coordinate personnel needs.

  • Assist site technical leads in resolving project issues and meeting workforce requirements.

  • Analyze project data trends and reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 15 years of experience in project management preferably within HVAC or mechanical systems.

  • Solid understanding of PM 101 principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Gantt chart creation.

  • Ability to read and interpret schedules Bills of Materials (BOMs) and control drawings.

  • Familiarity with bidding processes contract administration and labor scheduling.

  • Experience with material procurement logistics management and project scheduling.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including professional-level report writing.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Smartsheets or similar project management tools.

  • Strong data analysis skills ideally with Python.

  • Knowledge of commissioning processes and HVAC installation procedures.

  • Familiarity with project L levels and best practices in materials management.
