2 weeks contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estate Services Cleaner to join the team on a short-term temporary basis (2 weeks contract) providing cleaning and upkeep support for estate services.
The role involves manual labour and is intended to cover annual leave within the team. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors across the estate.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Carrying out internal and external cleaning of communal areas including stairwells corridors entrances bin stores and other shared spaces.
Sweeping mopping litter picking and disposing of waste appropriately.
Ensuring that cleaning is undertaken in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Using appropriate cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate team.
Assisting with light manual labour tasks as required to support the estate services team.
Representing the service with professionalism and courtesy while engaging with residents.
Skills/Experience:
Previous cleaning experience is essential ideally in residential or estate environments.
Good understanding of COSHH regulations and general health and safety procedures.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour including lifting and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reliable punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to follow schedules and complete tasks to a high standard without constant supervision.
Clear and respectful communication skills when interacting with colleagues and residents.

Basic DBS check required.
