Position:Interim Controller
Location:Washington DC (Hybrid: 2-3 days in-office per week)

Are you a seasoned financial professional with a passion for nonprofit work We are seeking a hands-on Interim Controller for a 3 month project with a reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing health programs through philanthropy. This role is crucial for managing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production and accuracy of financial statements.
- Maintain and manage the accounting system.
- Lead the annual budget development and presentation to the board.
- Ensure accurate payroll production and vendor payments.
- Manage tax and administrative filings with relevant authorities.
- Establish banking relationships and manage bank accounts.
- Serve as a liaison to the Finance Committee and report on financial operations.
- Manage external audits and communicate with the audit firm.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation preferred.
- Experience in nonprofit financial management.
- Familiarity with Business Central is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Compensation:$70-$75 per hour (potentially higher for the right candidate)
Note:This is a temporary role for 2-3 months and will not convert to a full-time position.
